    Yes I'm aware of all the huge bugs the chat's had since we switched to Lypha.
    I'm giving them until Friday of this week to get their servers straightened out and then if that doesn't happen, we either continue on the pilgrimage for affordable hosting or go back to the wallet-suckers at downtownhost.

    Just a note to let users know that I am looking into new hosting for furryisland.com. This should have NO AFFECT on anything you users see. The webaddresses will all be the same. The only difference is it'll cost me 1/3rd what I now pay per month and I'll have 4 times more bandwidth for the chat. The only way you would be affected by this is if you use the server IP instead of the webaddress. I don't think any users do that so hopefully you won't realize any difference at all. It's possible that, in the next few days, the site may appear to be down for maybe a day, the only way that would happen would be if there were complications in getting the domain names transferred to the new host.

    In other news, I'm working on a censoring version of the chat for people who have to deal with libraries and their nazi policies and filters. This -should- be client-side stuff when I finish, MEANING, if you use the censored version of the chat, you'll see ********'s in place of swearwords I specify, but the people using the normal chat will see the real deal.

    You may have noticed... a bit of a page update happened.
    Firstly, all chats have their own subdomain now. ALso, obviously, the homepage is now here and looking very sexy.
    Little changes will be made forever and ever, because I'm unsatisfied with everything, but this is fairly stable, right here.
    In addition, a security guy told me he knows how our page got "hacked." Turns out it didn't. O_o Someone utilized an exploit that'd been found in the version of Apache our server USED to be running. Turns out they only replaced a few index pages because that's all they could do. o_O

    Now it's set for 255 (doesn't go any higher, so don't ask...) and it'll stop you from typing anything past 255 characters instead of letting you go on and on and on and then get your post cut short.

    I tried to accommodate you people who's monitors are set for 800x600 resolution... It was ALOT of hard work, but I finally optimized each and every page to work for you without side-to-side scrolling. However... Honestly... if your screen is a 17 inch monitor? You should have it set to 1024x768 at the LEAST. It'll look really really tiny at first, but after two days you'll be loving it. You might even set it higher... Just so you know, the higher your resolution is set, the better this page looks, unless you go past 1600x1400, at which point the background images start to repeat in an ugly way. ^_^
    I hope you all like this new page, it took me a long... long time to do. :)
    OH! one more thing! www.furryisland.com finally has a page up. ^_^ *pride*

    Hey users,
    I had a bit of oral surgery on the 29th, which's laid me up all day because of the IV sedation they put me on, so my presence in the chat'll be reduced... naturally the other mods are going to be proportionally more vigilant that being the case.
    Also, several means are being employed to battle with our latest annoyance, metalparrot of course. These being:
    Calling his ISP on the phone during the next business hours;
    emailing his ISP regularly with pertinent information;
    another more confidential and drastic method is also being considered by myself. I've told a very few, very select group of people about this plan, general chatters aren't in that group. Frankly, even though it's metalparrot, I'd rather not have to do this option;
    another option I have is banning the entire subnet of his ISP. This would get rid of metalparrot... the downside being no one else who uses his ISP would be able to access the chat either;
    And finally, another confidential and much less drastic solution.

    Another both chat has been added... The both3.html chat was avatarless, so I added a version of it that has the avatar. In the avatar of that chat, there are links that let you switch from the RP avatar to the OOC avatar and vice-versa. I hope to make it automatic sometime soon but that's the best I can do for now.
    Another RP chat option, I added a version of the RP chat that has two logins so you can RP two characters at once without having to window-switch.

    Ezy officially resigned from being a mod today. The job ain't for everyone, Ezy said, "if every time I go into the chat to "do my job" I want to fucking die twice, or three times over, then I can't keep doing it."
    So. Maybe I should make the rules looser so it's easier for people to follow them, and thus, easier for admins to do their jobs.

    I'll think about it, anyway.
